Everton are reportedly set to axe Morgan Schneiderlin this summer.

According to The Sun, Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is set to move on this summer as Marcel Brands plots a major clearout at Goodison Park.
The Toffees claimed another win on Sunday afternoon, beating Arsenal at Goodison Park 1-0 thanks to Phil Jagielka’s goal, making it three wins in a row and four in the last six.
Marco Silva’s side are now picking up clean sheets too, with five in six, and it looks set to be a positive end to the season for the Toffees ahead of a key summer transfer window.
Signings will be key, but some deadwood needs to be offloaded, and The Sun report that director of football Marcel Brands will lead a clearout this summer.
It’s claimed that midfielder Schneiderlin will be one of those to leave, alongside the likes of Maarten Stekelenburg, Jagielka, Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun.
Schneiderlin, 29, was a key signing in January 2017, as then-boss Ronald Koeman reunited with one of his former Southampton favourites, having struggled for playing time at Manchester United.

The Frenchman – who earns a whopping £100,000-a-week according to Spotrac – has failed to really rebuild his career with Everton, and has made just six Premier League starts this season.
With Everton hoping to sign Andre Gomes permanently, offloading a pricey midfielder in Schneiderlin could be a real boost to the finances, with Brands seemingly having little time for high-earning veterans now.
