According to the Manchester Evening News, Bournemouth playmaker David Brooks is expecting an offer from Leicester City.

It’s claimed that Leicester are now leading the race for Brooks, with the midfielder now anticipating an offer from the Foxes.

The 23-year-old is on Manchester United’s radar, but it’s Leicester who are now pushing themselves to the front of the queue.

Bournemouth seemingly want at least £35million for Brooks, who has shown real quality in the Premier League even with a major injury ruling him out for much of last season.

Brooks is a skilful player who plays either as a number 10 or in from the right flank, and it’s no surprise that teams want him.

Wales Online reported in August that Jose Mourinho wants to take Brooks to Tottenham, whilst Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa thinks he would be a perfect fit at Elland Road.

It’s now Leicester who look to be Brooks’s most likely destination, possibly with the idea of utilising him on the right flank to join James Maddison and Harvey Barnes behind Jamie Vardy.

With a month of the transfer window to go, Bournemouth can expect many bids for Brooks; whether it’s Leicester, Leeds, United or Tottenham, Brooks belongs in the Premier League – and the Cherries may find it tough to keep him.
