According to a report from the Sun (print edition Sunday September 2nd, page 59), Bournemouth plan to go back in for Brentford’s Chris Mepham in January, and are willing to pay in excess of £15 million for the centre-back.
Cherries boss Eddie Howe has instructed his scouts to keep a close eye on the 20-year-old, after having failed to bring him to the Vitality Stadium during the summer transfer window.
Mepham began his career with the Bees, and has really impressed over the past two years in the Championship, racking up 26 appearances for the west London outfit.

According to a report from the Sun (print edition Sunday September 2nd, page 59), Bournemouth will go back in for the 6ft 3in defender in January, and are willing to pay more than £15 million to secure his services.
Mepham is a real talent, and is one for the future. He would undoubtedly bring more stability to the Cherries’ back-line, and in today’s day and age, somewhere in the region of £15 million would have to be considered as decent business for the south coast outfit.
