Bournemouth are reportedly interested in signing Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe in the summer transfer window.

Bournemouth are interested in signing Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
It has been reported that Bournemouth will offer a three-year contract worth £115,000 per week to Defoe in order to tempt the striker into a move.
Positive
With Sunderland having been relegated to the Championship, it is hard to see Defoe remain at the Stadium of Light next season.
The 34-year-old former West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur striker has been the Black Cats’ best player this campaign.
The England international has scored 15 goals and provided two assists in 37 Premier League games for Sunderland this season.

Negative
Defoe is 34 years of age, and handing him a three-year contract worth £115,000 per week would be a risk.
Although the striker has proved time and time again that he can score regularly in the Premier League, there is no guarantee that he would be able to do that when he is 36 or 37.
Interest
According to The Sun, Bournemouth are not the club who want Defoe in the summer. The British tabloid has claimed that Everton and West Ham United are interested in the Englishman as well.
