Queens Park Rangers could miss out on the Aston Villa winger Andre Green as Bournemouth target Bright Osayi-Samuel, according to The Sun on Sunday (4 October, page 59).
The newspaper claims that Sheffield Wednesday are ‘pitching a bid’ for Green, whom Aston Villa will ‘let out for games’.
The 22-year-old was thought to have left Villa Park at the end of his contract in the summer, and tweeted the following ‘goodbye’ message in August.
But an official announcement never arrived from Aston Villa’s end, and Green’s situation remains unclear.
The Villa academy product scored or assisted three goals in 17 league games for QPR’s then Championship rivals Preston North End and Charlton Athletic last season and could be a useful replacement should Osayi-Samuel depart.

Bournemouth have asked about the availability of the QPR winger amid fears that more of their players could be sold, according to The Sun on Sunday.
And it is claimed that his £5 million price tag would be within Bournemouth’s range.
Osayi-Samuel is in the final year of his contract at QPR and has been linked to a string of clubs, both in England and elsewhere.
