Bournemouth are interested in signing Joe Gomez from Liverpool, according to The Sun.

It has been reported that the Cherries want to recruit Gomez on loan from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the January transfer window.

Championship club Huddersfield Town are also interested in a loan deal for the 19-year-old defender, according to The Sun.

Gomez has only just returned to training after a year out with an Achilles problem.

The 19-year-old is a very talented and promising young player, and he has a bright future at Liverpool.

The youngster can play as a centre-back or as a full-back, and he could be a long-term solution to the Reds’ left-back problem.

However, it would not be a bad idea for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to send Gomez out on loan in January.

Huddersfield would not be a bad option, but since Bournemouth are in the Premier League, the youngster’s purpose would be better served at the Vitality Stadium.

Liverpool are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from eight matches, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.
