Celtic have been linked with a move for Dundee defender Hendry, but Bournemouth are now said to be keen.

The Daily Star claim Bournemouth are looking to push Celtic aside to land Dundee youngster Jack Hendry this month, as they prepare a £1million offer for the defender.
The 22-year-old has been a target for Brendan Rodgers for the entire transfer window, but the Scottish champions are unwilling to meet the former Wigan defender’s £1.5million asking price.
It is believed that Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth could look to test Neil McCann’s resolve in keeping his star defender with a bid this week, but it is also apparent that the Premier League club are unwilling to go as high as £1.5million.

The report states the Cherries will offer a bid of £1million, which should surely spark Rodgers into life as the Hoops desperately need another central defender.
Erik Sviatchenko has returned to former side FC Midtjylland on loan, while new signing Marvin Compper has suffered an injury. Jozo Simunovic is reportedly interesting Lazio, too, leaving just Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer.

Hendry has been in excellent form at Dens Park, featuring in every single Scottish Premiership outing for Dundee and helping the relegation threatened side keep four league clean sheets. He has even scored against Ross County.
His contract lasts until the summer of 2019 but with both Bournemouth and Celtic keen, it remains to be seen how long Dundee can keep hold of their up-and-coming star.
