According to The Mirror’s live transfer blog (00:26), Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are both interested in signing Aston Villa winger Andre Green before the transfer deadline.

Villa have made a patchy start to the season after being installed as one of the favourites to win the Championship title this season, but one player has caught the eye so far.

Winger Andre Green has featured in five games in all competitions, and notched a goal in Saturday’s 4-2 home win over Norwich City as his stock continues to rise.

The 19-year-old wide man has earned praise from Villa fans for his performances, and whilst they want to see him fulfil his potential at Villa Park, Premier League clubs are starting to take notice.

The Mirror report that Premier League duo Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Green, with Villa no doubt concerned about their interest given that there is just a week to go until the transfer deadline.

Bournemouth have been in the market for another winger this summer having failed to land Leicester City’s Demarai Gray, whilst Palace may be looking for another wide man following Wilfried Zaha’s injury.

Green now appears to be on the radar of both clubs, but Villa will be looking to stand firm and fend off interest in one of their brightest young talents, having seen Green come up through the ranks since 2006.

Green is now earning a more and more important role under Steve Bruce, and whilst Villa may need to sell players to avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions, they surely won’t entertain offers for winger Green.
