Bournemouth and Brighton are reportedly keen on Celtic winger Scott Sinclair.

According to the Daily Mail, Bournemouth and Brighton and Hove Albion are both interested in snapping up Celtic winger Scott Sinclair this summer.

Sinclair, 29, was one of Brendan Rodgers’ first signings as Celtic boss back in the summer of 2016, luring him from Aston Villa in a major deal before he scored on his debut against Hearts.

The winger has racked up 42 goals in 95 games for Celtic, but it’s fair to say that this season hasn’t been perfect for the wide man, and he could be offered a return to England.

It’s claimed that Premier League duo Bournemouth and Brighton are both looking to sign Sinclair, and could hand him a return to England’s top flight this summer.

Tough second season

Having worked together at Chelsea and Swansea City, it was no great surprise when Rodgers signed Sinclair for Celtic in 2016, and their first season back together was a dream come true.

Scott Sinclair of Celtic is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Motherwell at Celtic Park on December 2, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Sinclair hit 25 goals in 50 games as Celtic won an unbeaten domestic treble under Rodgers, but he has managed just nine league goals this season and has been in and out of the Celtic side this term.

Sinclair’s second season has been a major disappointment, and given that his 30’s are around the corner, the Bhoys may be tempted to sell if a good enough offer does come in this summer.

That would be a tough decision for Rodgers, given the strong bond between the pair over the years, but Sinclair hasn’t impressed this season, and Celtic may now find surprise interest from Premier League clubs this summer.
