Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko is reportedly wanted by Borussia Dortmund.

According to Mercato 365, Borussia Dortmund have turned their attention to Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko as they look for a replacement for Manchester United-bound Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Dortmund have brought in a number of new faces this summer, with Marc Bartra, Raphael Guerreiro, Mikel Merino, Sebastian Rode, Emre Mor and Ousmane Dembele, but they’ve also lost Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan in another summer of upheaval.
Playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is now set to join Manchester United, meaning manager Thomas Tuchel now needs to find a replacement on the right hand side of midfield.
Mercato 365 report that whilst Dortmund have an interest in Wolfsburg’s Andre Schurrle, they are also looking at Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko.
Sissoko, 26, has hit 12 goals in 132 games for Newcastle since signing from Toulouse back in January 2013, and whilst he’s had his moments for the Magpies, he’s also been wildly inconsistent and often frustrating.
A powerful, pacey midfielder who can play in the middle or out wide, Sissoko is currently playing for France at Euro 2016, but looks to be on his way out of Newcastle once the tournament is over.
With Newcastle relegated to the Championship, Sissoko will be keen on a move away from Tyneside – and Dortmund would offer him Champions League football next season, representing a huge move for the Frenchman.
It’s claimed that manager Tuchel is a big fan of Sissoko, and with Hamburg already having had a €12m (£10.2m) rejected, Dortmund are allegedly ready to enter the race and land Sissoko this summer.
