According to a report from the Daily Mail, Borussia Dortmund have reached out to Everton and Crystal Palace over a potential deal for winger Andre Schurrle, while Fulham are interested in a move for the World Cup winner.

Schurrle joined the Bundesliga side for around £26.8 million in 2016 – fee reported by ESPN – but has generally struggled to make an impact for Dortmund, making just 33 league appearances across his two seasons at the Westfalenstadion.

The Mail reports that Dortmund have made Schurrle available, and while Fulham are keen on the former Chelsea ace ahead of their return to the Premier League, it appears that the German side are putting in some yards themselves trying to get him off the books.

According to the Mail, Everton and Palace have both been offered the chance to sign Schurrle. It is not clear whether either side is interested in signing the 27-year-old, but there does seem to be an obvious benefit for Dortmund if they manage to offload Schurrle to either.

The Mail reports that Dortmund are keen on Wilfried Zaha, as are Everton. So by selling Schurrle to the Toffees, they could perhaps take one rival out of the race to sign Zaha, while Palace signing the German would perhaps open the door for the two teams to potentially discuss Zaha heading in the opposite direction.

Schurrle has endured a difficult time with Dortmund, but perhaps it would not be a major surprise if there were some Everton fans who were keen to see the club pursue a deal if a potential move is still on the table as he has shown previously that he can be an extremely impressive forward.
