According to a report from Football.London, injury prone Tottenham winger Erik Lamela is back in training, and he will likely be ready to feature against Liverpool in eight days time.

The Argentine has suffered horrendous luck with injuries over the past few years, and has made just 34 Premier League appearances since the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino failed to strengthen his squad in the summer, so it will vitally important for him to have players like Lamela back and available for selection as soon as possible.

According to a report from Football.London, the 26-year-old is actively taken part in training sessions, and will be assessed before next Saturday’s game at home to Liverpool.

Tottenham will be desperate for all three points against Jürgen Klopp’s men next weekend, and having someone like Lamela back and available for selection will certainly be a big boost for Pochettino’s side.
