According to Goal, sources at Arsenal have distanced themselves from the suggestion that they’re in the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic in the coming months.

The Serbian striker is hot property right now, and it seems as though there’s going to be a real transfer tussle for his signature.

Tottenham and Fabio Paratici have been linked with a move for the forward for the longest of times, and the fact that Arsenal aren’t going to be moving for him is something of a boost for Spurs.

Indeed, while Tottenham will still have to battle for his signature, at least they’re going to be the only north London side gunning for this signing.

Arsenal are in the market for a centre-forward this summer with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jonathan David strongly linked, but it seems as though they aren’t going to be bringing Vlahovic in.

It remains to be seen where Vlahovic ends up. Tottenham are obviously keen, but with Juventus and Manchester United also in the running, it’s hard to describe Spurs as the favourites to bring him in.

However, with Antonio Conte at the helm and Paratici pulling the strings behind the scenes, there’s every chance that Spurs could pull off this Serie A coup and bring the ‘majestic’ striker to Tottenham.

This certainly seems to be a situation worth keeping an eye on in the coming months.
