Rangers target Mark Beevers may not be heading to Ibrox this summer.

According to The Bolton News, Bolton Wanderers will refuse to sell defender Mark Beevers to Rangers this summer as they look to keep him at the Macron Stadium.
The Trotters have been attempting to rebuild their squad this summer, and they have needed to bring in defenders having allowed both Dorian Dervite and Derik Osede to leave the club.
Last week, Bolton landed former Sunderland defender Mark Wilson on a free transfer, and are now poised to add another free agent centre back to boost Phil Parkinson’s options at the back.
The Bolton News report that ex-Nottingham Forest centre back Jack Hobbs is set to make a move to the Macron Stadium, but that won’t impact the future of Mark Beevers.
It’s claimed that Bolton will refuse to sell Beevers with Rangers interested, blocking a potential move to Ibrox for their star centre back ahead of the new season.
Beevers, 28, joined Bolton from Millwall in the summer of 2016, and has been a key part of Parkinson’s side ever since, racking up nearly 100 league appearances for the club.

Rangers had been looking at Beevers for a late move, as new manager Steven Gerrard is keen to bring in a left-footed centre back to compete with Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic.
A deal for Manchester City’s Kean Bryan has fallen through, but Rangers may find it difficult to prise Beevers away from Bolton, with the Trotters looking to take Beevers, Hobbs, Wilson and David Wheather into the new season as their centre backs.
