Bolton Wanderers are reportedly set to make a move on two free agents from Italy in the coming days.
A report in La Gazzetta dello Sport is claiming that Bolton officials are currently in Milan to discuss a potential move to the Macron Stadium for two Italian players who became free agents this summer.
The players in question are former Parma striker Massimo Coda and Cagliari full-back Francesco Pisano.
Coda joined Parma in 2013 from San Marino after scoring goals in the Italian lower leagues for the likes of Cremonese and Siracusa.
He spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Slovenian side Gorica and only ever played 17 times for Parma – scoring twice.
He became a free agent this summer along with the entire Parma first-team after the club went bust.
Pisano has an entirely different career. He has spent his entire career with Cagliari but after 11 years in the first-team he was released by the club this summer. He is a former Italian under-21 international.
It is believed he wants a move to England as he does not wish to play for another team in Italy other than his beloved hometown club of Cagliari.
A pacy right-back, he would be suited to The Championship.
Both would represent shrewd moves from Bolton Wanderers in the transfer market.
