Reports in Italy are suggesting that QPR midfielder Sandro is on his way to sign for Italian side Bologna – but faces a race against time to complete the deal.

Tutto Mercato Web is reporting that QPR offered him to Bologna and the Italian club are ready to bring him in.

The 27-year-old is on big wages at Loftus Road and the club are trying to cut their wage-bill this season.

Of course the deal is subject to a time limit.

Like the English market the deadline in Italy closes at 11pm tonight and QPR and Bologna face a race against time to get this deal forced through in time.

The Brazilian, who has 17 caps for Selecao, has struggled with injuries in recent season but did stay fit throughout a loan spell at West Brom last season.

The combative midfielder has featured just once for QPR this season. He scored both goals in a 2-1 win against Rochdale in the EFL Cup, but has not been used in the Championship.

Bologna will be hoping to complete a move for the player in the next hour.
