Boca Juniors are reportedly keen on Tottenham defender Juan Foyth.

According to a report from Doble Amarilla, Boca Juniors want to take Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth on loan.

Foyth, 20, joined Spurs from Estudiantes in 2017, but failed to make a single Premier League appearance last season as Mauricio Pochettino limited him to cup action.

The defender has though featured this term, and made his sixth Premier League start of the season in the 5-0 Boxing Day win over Bournemouth.

Whilst he’s competing with Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez, Foyth has shown promise, and should be a part of Pochettino’s plans in 2019.

That hasn’t stopped interest in his signature though, as Doble Amarilla in Argentina report that Boca Juniors now want to take him on loan.

Boca are losing defender Lisandro Magallan to Ajax in January, and new boss Nicolas Burdisso is believed to want Foyth on a year-long loan as his replacement.

Voetbal Primeur reported last summer that Boca wanted Foyth on loan to replace Ajax-bound Magallan, and months on, the rumour is back.

Yet with Foyth now playing Premier League football, it seems unlikely that Spurs would let him go in January, and Boca may have to look elsewhere for a centre back.
