Southampton may be able to offload Guido Carrillo this summer.

According to Doble Amarilla in Argentina, Boca Juniors are pushing to sign Southampton flop Guido Carrillo this summer.
Southampton chose to splash the cash on Carrillo in January 2018, spending £19million (BBC Sport) to sign him from Monaco in what seemed like an ill-advised move.
The Saints signed him purely because then-manager Mauricio Pellegrino knew him from Estudiantes, but then sacked Pellegrino just months later, leaving Carrillo in a struggle ever since.
In 10 appearances for Southampton, Carrillo didn’t score once, and was loaned out to Leganes last summer to reunite with Pellegrino yet again.
The 28-year-old hit six goals and one assist in 32 games for Leganes, but now returns to Southampton with seemingly no future for him under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Now, Doble Amarilla in Argentina report that Boca Juniors want Carrillo, and may be ready to hand him an escape route from the South Coast.

It’s claimed that two members of Boca staff have been to Madrid to discuss a move with Carrillo, and he’d surely love a move back to Argentina given his role – or lack thereof – at Southampton.
Southampton won’t get anything like £19million back for Carrillo, but it seems they may at least have a shot at offloading their expensive flop.
