Sheffield United preparing improved offer for Millwall target and Southend midfielder Ryan Leonard.
Leonard has been a long-term target for the Blades and manager Chris Wilder has made no secret about his desire to sign the 25-year-old.

Both the Yorkshire club and Millwall have had bids for the Shrimpers star rejected, who is contracted at Roots Hall until next summer after a one-year extension was triggered at the end of last season.
Both Southend chairman Ron Martin and manager Phil Brown have insisted that Leonard is not for sale on numerous occasions, but with the player keen to test himself at a higher level they may be powerless to keep him.
The Plymouth Argyle academy graduate joined the Essex side back in 2011 and has since 236 appearances in all competitions and was named player of the year in 2016/17.
Wilder is looking to make Leonard his sixth summer signing as he prepares his squad for life back in the Championship after winning the League One title last term.
