Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert is keen to be reunited with the Blackburn Rovers man.
A report in The Sun has suggested that Blackburn Rovers are willing to consider allowing Ben Marshall to leave for Wolves, but only on one condition.
The Sun reports that Paul Lambert wants to be reunited with the utility man who he worked with during his brief tenure at Ewood Park last season, and has given the green light for a £1 million bid to be made.
Blackburn’s Ben Marshall
And it appears that Blackburn are ready to leave the path clear for Marshall – whose contract is up at the end of the current campaign – to move to Molineux, provided that they receive the full fee up front, rather than part of the deal being made up in add-ons.
Wolves manager Paul Lambert
Though Marshall has struggled to make a major impact this season, his form could arguably be put down to the struggles that virtually all of Owen Coyle’s team have endured this term as he has shown in previous campaigns that he can be influential in the second tier.
During the 2014/15 season, the former Manchester United trainee scored six times and contributed seven assists. And if he can rediscover that form with Wolves, then it may not be too late for the club to mount a serious charge for a top-half spot.
