The defender is a transfer target for Newcastle United, but Norwich City are also interested.
Grant Hanley of Blackburn Rovers
According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn Rovers are now demanding £8 million for defender Grant Hanley.
The Rovers captain has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, with several clubs thought to be chasing his signature.
Newcastle United are chief among his suitors as Rafa Benitez looks to improve his defence ahead of next season in the Championship.

They have already made a move for him, with the Chronicle reporting that he is the Spaniard’s prime defensive target in this transfer window.
However, Blackburn are not keen to sell and have already turned down a £4.5 million bid and were instead thought to be holding out for as much as £6 million according to the Northern Echo.

Now it appears they have upped that price by a further £2 million, with the Daily Mail reporting they have now put an £8 million price tag on their man as Norwich City have also entered the race for his signature.
That is an asking price that the Magpies are unlikely to match, with HITC Sport revealing earlier this week that they would not go beyond a £5 million fee for the Scotland international.
