Blackburn Rovers, Brentford and Reading made deadline day approaches for Queens Park Rangers striker Conor Washington, reports the Daily Star.
Ipswich Town were previously reported to have made a seven-figure bid for Washington (Green ‘Un 24), however, the R’s were unwilling to sanction the Northern Irishman’s departure – despite signing Anderlecht’s Idrissa Sylla on Tuesday.

Washington arrived at Loftus Road from Peterborough United in January for a reported £2.8 million, though the former postman has only scored once in 20 appearances to date, and is yet to start in the league this season.
That did not appear to put off the Championship quartet, however, who were all desperate to bolster their attacks late in the window.

Luckily for Ipswich, who lost Daryl Murphy to Newcastle at the weekend, they managed to add Leon Best to their ranks on Tuesday, while Blackburn eventually landed Swansea’s Marvin Emnes.
However, both Brentford and Reading were not so fortunate, with the latter snubbed by Aston Villa’s Gabriel Agbonlahor according to Villans owner Tony Xia.
