The Blues are looking for attacking reinforcements and have targeted the Sheffield United talent.
Che Adams scores for Sheffield United
Sheffield United have rejected a £1 million bid from Birmingham City for their talented attacker Che Adams, according to Sky Sports.
The report goes on to say that there are a host of Championship clubs chasing the 20-year-old, but that the Blues bid was way off his present club’s valuation of him.
The young forward burst onto the scene two seasons ago just after joining the Blades, scoring twice in a narrow League Cup semi-final defeat to Premier League giants Spurs.
Coming just after a move from non-league outfit Ilkeston, for the then 18-year-old to score twice in a matter of minutes against a team comprising multi-million pound international stars was a sure sign of his potential.

Last season, Adams was a key member of Nigel Adkins’ squad, with the Blades falling away from early season promise to finish a disappointing 11th in the division. With Sheffield United surely eager to get back to the Championship, they wouldn’t be eager to let a player who scored 11 goals in 36 league matches depart, and if they did, they would look to be adequately compensated.
Birmingham are eager to bring in a forward now they are more financially stable situation, and have also been linked with a move for Manchester United striker James Wilson in the Birmingham Mail. However, their reported £1 million bid for Adams hasn’t been enough to convince United to sell, and Gary Rowett will have to decide how much of his budget he wants to spend on Adams, with the possibility of a bidding war great news for the Blades, but not so good for the Blues.
