Birmingham boss Harry Redknapp interested in signing Abel Hernandez from Hull.
Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp has turned his attention to Hull City striker Abel Hernandez as he looks to bolster his options upfront, according to the Daily Star.
The 70-year-old has been handed a £20m transfer kitty this summer to improve his Blues squad and has already used a chunk of that to sign Marc Roberts from Barnsley in a £3.5m deal.

Redknapp was keen on bringing Preston North End forward Jordan Hugill to St Andrew’s, but has already seen an initial £2.5m bid rejected and also faces competition from Sunderland.
Now Hernandez is on the Blues’ radar, although new Hull boss Leonid Slutsky is keen to keep the 26-year-old at the KCOM Stadium for the upcoming season.
The Uruguay international – who has 11 goals in 29 caps – joined the Tigers from Palermo in the summer of 2014 in a £10m deal and has since scored 33 times in 100 appearances.
The last time the North Yorkshire side played in the Championship, Hernandez was a real hit with 20 league strikes, so it is easy to see why Slutsky would want to keep the South American as they prepare for life in the English second tier once again following relegation.
