Birmingham City are closing in on a deal for the 27-year-old who has struggled for opportunities at Middlesbrough this year.
A report in the Daily Mail has suggested that Birmingham City are closing in on a deal to sign Middlesbrough man Emilio Nsue permanently.
The 27-year-old has struggled for opportunities at the Riverside Stadium this season – he has appeared just four times in the Premier League – and it appears that Aitor Karanka is ready to leave the path clear for the versatile wide-man to leave the club during this window.

The Mail reports that the Blues are hoping to complete a deal to sign Nsue in the next 48 hours, so it may perhaps be possible that supporters could see him in Gianfranco Zola’s line-up for their Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend.
If the deal goes through without a hitch, Zola will undoubtedly be hoping that his arrival helps turn Birmingham’s season around.

The Italian is still awaiting his first win since he took over from Gary Rowett last month. And those six games without a victory have seen the Midlands outfit go from being on the periphery of the play-off picture to well adrift. They currently sit nine points off of the team who occupy sixth place, having only been outside on goal difference when Rowett was axed.
Nsue impressed for Boro during their automatic-promotion winning campaign last year, and Zola will be hoping that he can replicate that kind of form at St Andrew’s.
