Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is keen to bring in more players this week.

According to a report in the Express and Star, Aston Villa boss Dean Smith could sell Birkir Bjarnason and Scott Hogan before the end of the month.

Villa are still looking to make additions, with at least two more players wanted by Smith.

But there is a realisation from the Villa boss that he will also need to offload some players.

And it seems that Hogan and Bjarnason are in the most danger of leaving Villa before the end of the transfer window.

Bjarnason has made just four league starts for Villa since Smith took charge, although he has been injured during that time.

Hogan, meanwhile, has struggled ever since leaving Brentford for Villa Park and it seems that the Midlands side may be ready to give up on him now.

With Tammy Abraham continuing to score with great frequency it is difficult to see Hogan becoming a starter for Villa between now and the end of the campaign.
