According to The Telegraph, Chelsea teenager Billy Gilmour is now expected to head out on loan for six months following Thomas Tuchel’s arrival.
New boss Tuchel left Gilmour out of the squad to face Wolves on Wednesday evening, and it’s now expected that the teenager will go out on loan.
Gilmour, 19, has only played 34 minutes of Premier League action this season, and may need regular first-team action to develop.
The diminutive Scot has shown great quality on the ball, impressing with his low centre of gravity and mature displays in a holding midfield role.
Gilmour is bound to attract huge interest if Chelsea do let him go util the end of the season, and he was recently linked with a return to Rangers.
The Scottish Sun reported in December that Rangers had made an approach to take Gilmour on loan, more than three years since he left the club for Chelsea.

Gilmour came up through the Rangers ranks and was tipped for stardom before leaving to join Chelsea, where he has been attempting to break through.
Would a move to Rangers really make sense now though? The Gers are keen on Bournemouth’s Nnamdi Ofoborh, and may look to sign him this month rather than just on a pre-contract agreement.
Bongani Zungu hasn’t really managed to nail down a first-team role, so it seems unlikely that Gilmour would right now, with the likes of Steven Davis and Glen Kamara thriving.
