According to The Telegraph, Todd Boelhy and Hansjorg Wyss will combine forces in order to put together an offer to buy Chelsea Football Club.

The Blues are up for sale after Roman Abramovich decided to part ways with the club amid criticism of Russian ownership and business in the UK.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Boelhy has attempted to buy a London club.

Indeed, the billionaire considered a move for Tottenham back in 2019, but unfortunately, no takeover ever materialised.

However, it now seems as though he has a good chance of getting his hands on Chelsea, and according to The Telegraph, they’ve even secured the required finances to push forward with this bid.

Unfortunately, Chelsea are a prime asset, and as you can imagine, a club like this being on the market has attracted a lot of interest from the world’s super-wealthy.

Indeed, the Blues have been informed of a number of prospective bidders, and while Boelhy and Wyss are the furthest along in their takeover attempt, there’s no guarantee that a better offer won’t come along from elsewhere.

This is certainly a situation worth keeping an eye on, and if Boelhy does a good job at Chelsea. Spurs fans will be left to rue what they missed out on.
