Bill Kenwright is reportedly keen to see Everton go after Eddie Howe if Sam Allardyce ends up leaving Goodison Park.

According to a report from Goal, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe would be the manager that Everton chairman Bill Kenwright would pick to succeed Sam Allardyce if Big Sam ends up leaving Goodison Park this summer.

There undoubtedly appears to be a large section of the Toffees fanbase that are hoping that the club decide to make a change at the end of the season. Allardyce may have ensured that relegation is not a concern for Everton this term, but he does not appear to have won over the supporters.

Bill Kenwright, chairman of Everton looks on prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Stoke City at Goodison Park on August 12, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Heading into the final two games of the season, Everton require a couple of incredible results to secure seventh while it is still mathematically possible for the Toffees to finish as low as 10th. And with the brand of football seemingly not capturing the fans’ imagination, there may perhaps be a question mark lingering over Allardyce’s future in the coming months if the fans get their way.

According to Goal, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is keen to consider Marco Silva if Allardyce departs, but Kenwright’s preference would be for Howe to be given the role given the work that he has done at the Vitality Stadium.

Goal hints that Moshiri’s greater influence is likely to be a stumbling block to any potential approach for Howe, but there may well be a section of the fans who would prefer Kenwright’s choice over Moshiri’s.

Howe has taken the Cherries right through the Football League and looks set to ensure that Bournemouth book themselves a fourth successive year at the highest level. They currently sit 12th in the table, 10 points behind Everton and six clear of the bottom three heading into the final stages of the campaign.
