Slaven Bilic has held talks with Fenerbache striker Vedat Muriqi as West Bromwich Albion step up their interest, according to Takvim.
While there are still four nail-biting games remaining in a gruelling Championship season, the Baggies can start preparing now for life back in the big time.
And with a number of big-name players being linked with a move to the Hawthorns, including Jesse Lingard and Brazil international winger Everton Soares, it is certainly an exciting time to be a West Brom fan.
Especially if Muriqi ends up in the Midlands this summer.
A tall and acrobatic centre-forward who’s eye for the spectacular and penchant for a top-knot have drawn comparisons with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, reports in Turkey claim that Bilic has held talks with Muriqi over the phone regarding a potential move to the Championship league-leaders.
What’s more, the Kosovo international is apparently open to the idea of leaving Fenerbahce for West Brom after just one season in Istanbul.
And what a season it was.

With 17 goals in all competitions, Muriqi has a one-in-two record and, on paper at least, would represent a sizeable upgrade on Charlie Austin, Kenneth Zohore and even the in-form Hal Robson-Kanu.
Fanatik reported in April that Fenerbahce want £22 million, a fee that would make the late-blooming predator West Brom’s new record signing.
