According to The Mirror, Leeds United want to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard this summer if they win promotion.

Saturday’s win over Blackburn Rovers takes Leeds another step closer to the Premier League, and they’re being linked with potential signings.

It’s stated that Celtic star Edouard is high on Marcelo Bielsa’s list of targets, even though the Bhoys don’t want to lose him.

Despite lofty interest from elsewhere, Leeds will allegedly test the water with a move for Edouard, in the hope of tempting him into a move.

Jean-Kevin Augustin – a former Paris Saint-Germain striker just like Augustin – won’t be kept on when his loan from RB Leipzig ends, and Edouard is being targeted to replace him.

A move for Edouard won’t be cheap; he has bagged 27 goals and 19 assists this season, becoming one of the top young strikers in Europe.

The 22-year-old will be wanted by most of the Premier League, and Leeds going for him is certainly an ambitious move from the Whites.

Leeds will have major pulling power in the Premier League though, and whilst a deal seems a little unlikely, you can never say never.
