Marcelo Bielsa may well play Adam Forshaw for Leeds United’s under-23 side this week, the Athletic report.
Forshaw made his return in a non-competitive fixture for Leeds on Saturday.
The Whites’ youngsters took on York City in a behind-closed doors friendly match, and Forshaw was given a chance to rest his fitness.
After a year and a half out it is reported that the midfielder coped fine, and lasted for 60 minutes with no ill affects.
He now seems to have finally overcome his hip injury, and Leeds hope that they can get him further match fitness this week.
Leeds’ under-23 side play on Friday against Aston Villa, when Forshaw may well be picked to feature again.
Bielsa likes to use his recovering players for the under-23’s and this will be a big step for Forshaw if he is selected.

It now remains to be seen what level that Leeds defensive midfielder can return at.
When he picked up his injury he was a key player for Bielsa’s side.
And if he can get back up to his past levels that will be a major boost for the Whites, as it would offer them another good option in the centre of the pitch.
