Leeds United have been linked with Ibai Gomez of late.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Alaves are prepared to take offers way below Ibai Gomez’s €10million release clause this month.
Winger Gomez, 29, has been in fine form for Alaves this season, notching three goals and two assists for the La Liga side.
The problem for Alaves is that his contract expires this summer, and a number of clubs have been linked with moves to sign him.
Goal reported in October that Leeds United not only wanted him in the summer, but were preparing a new bid for him this month.
That would be little surprise given that Gomez worked with boss Marcelo Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao, and a reunion would surely be appealing.
Now, Mundo Deportivo report that, with Alaves worried about not being able to seal a new contract with the winger, they are willing to take offers way below his release clause this summer.

That clause currently stands at €10million (£9million), so Leeds now have major encouragement to splash the cash and land Gomez, giving themselves a huge boost in the Championship promotion race.
With Samu Saiz gone to Getafe, another creative force is needed at Elland Road, and Gomez could be the man to provide it from the left, allowing Pablo Hernandez to work centrally in Saiz’s place.
