According to Tuttomercatoweb, Leeds United remain interested in signing Toulouse midfielder Kouadio Kone – but face a battle with AC Milan.
The Whites were linked with Kone over the summer, and it seems that they have kept tabs on him this season.
The report states that Kone could become the most expensive player in Ligue 2 history in 2021, with a €15million (£13.5million) price tag on his head.
It’s claimed that both Marcelo Bielsa and director of football Victor Orta have been tracking Kone for a long time and could still try to bring him to Elland Road.
However, AC Milan are also interested, so a January battle could ensue for the 19-year-old if this report is true.
It’s added that Kone is somewhat like Paul Pogba in terms of his box-to-box ability and ‘great physique’, hailing his dribbling ability and shooting ability.

TMW claim Kone isn’t quite at the level of Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga, but is a prospect who could make a big move in the very near future.
Kone could provide another option in the middle of the park for Bielsa, with his energy and athletic ability making him a good fit for Leeds – but they will have to pay up to beat Milan to his signature.
