Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has been linked with Middlesbrough and Besiktas.
Besiktas are interested in signing Martin Skrtel from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
Skrtel has been on the books of Liverpool since 2008 and has a contract until June 2018.
It has been reported by The Sun that the Slovakia international defender is the top target of Turkish giants Besiktas.
According to the report, the Istanbul-based outfit want to agree on a fee of around £7 million with the Reds in order to secure the services of the centre-back.
The Sun claims that newly-promoted Premier League club Middlesbrough are also interested in Skrtel.
“Klopp will do business as Skrtel has lost his guaranteed place in the current plans and could be cashed in on immediately,” adds the report.
Skrtel scored one goal and created five chances in 22 Premier League appearances for Liverpool this past season.
The defender had a pass accuracy of 85% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and won 58 headers, two dribbles and 20 tackles.
The 31-year-old could make just two appearances in the Europa League for the Reds, as the Merseyside outfit reached the final of the prestigious cup competition.
Besiktas won the Turkish Super Lig title this past season and will play in the Champions League during the 2016-17 campaign.
