According to Turkish website Foto Mac, Leeds United striker Chris Wood is of interest to Besiktas.
Wood has emerged on Besiktas’ radar, and the Turkish club reportedly feel the striker could become available.
Leeds have been linked with Alvaro Negredo recently, and Besiktas have asked about the Whites’ pursuit of the Spaniard.
If Leeds sign Negredo Besiktas reportedly feel that Wood could be put up for sale.
However, Leeds will surely not be selling Wood any time soon – after the New Zealand international had such an impressive season last time around.
Wood netted 30 goals last term, and will be key to any success that Thomas Christiansen’s side have this season.
By selling Wood, Leeds would undo much of the hard work that has been done this summer – with nine new faces signing up – and it is hard to imagine that Besiktas will get their way, even if they do submit a bid for the striker in the coming weeks.
