Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on a deal for Bayer Leverkusne
According to the Daily Mail, Bayer Leverkusen want a fee of £18million for full back Benjamin Henrichs as Tottenham Hotspur continue to plot a move.
Spurs have sold defender Kyle Walker to Manchester City in a big-money deal this month, and whilst Kieran Trippier appears to be his ready-made replacement at right back, Spurs could still pursue another option.
Youngster Kyle Walker-Peters may be a little too inexperienced to be called upon for Premier League action this season, and a host of right backs have subsequently been linked with a move to North London.
One such player is Bayer Leverkusen star Benjamin Henrichs, and the Daily Mail report that Tottenham are still weighing up whether to make a bid for the German this summer.
However, it’s added that the player’s representatives are keen to discuss a move, and Spurs would have to pay the £18m asking price Leverkusen have set.
Henrichs, 20, has come up through the ranks with Leverkusen, and made 37 appearances last season as he emerged as a key first-team player with the Bundesliga side, notching three assists in all competitions.

Capable of playing at left back or right back, Henrichs’ versatility may be appealing to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, with his pace and technical ability catching the eye as well last season.
Leverkusen understandably don’t want to lose the talented young German, and it remains to be seen whether Spurs pay the £18million valuation – but right now, he appears to be a real contender for Tottenham as they eye up a new right back.
