According to Inter Live, Everton are eyeing an ‘absurd’ move for Alexis Sanchez, which could see Cenk Tosun leave Goodison Park.
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian news outlet believe Rafa Benitez wants the 142-cap Chile international at Everton in the January transfer window.
Sanchez is struggling for game time under Simone Inzaghi at the San Siro, and has played just 52 minutes in Serie A this season.
Inter Live add that Benitez is willing to include Cenk Tosun as part of the deal, with the £27m Sam Allardyce signing surplus to requirements.
However, Inter Milan are unlikely to take the 45-cap Turkey international, as they would prefer to sell Sanchez for a fee.
The ex-Arsenal man has struggled in Italy, scoring just 11 goals in 75 games for the Nerazzurri.
Would Alexis Sanchez be a good signing for Everton?

If this news is true, we’re baffled – have Everton learned nothing?
Sanchez is 32 now, and after the James Rodriguez debacle, why would the Toffees want to burden themselves with another unmotivated, ageing forward who is well past his best?
Of course, the South American enjoyed some of the best years of his career in England, and impressively scored 63 Premier League goals.

However, on the basis of his form for Inter Milan, he is no longer able to perform to the levels he reached at Arsenal.
If this move happens, all we can foresee is two miserable years on Merseyside, before Sanchez ends up in Turkey or the United States.
Marcel Brands should save Everton fans the despair and simply avoid making this move – it would be a total waste of time and money.
