Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is being linked with a move away.

According to The Mirror, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is being offered a huge deal by Chinese side Shanghai SIPG ad questions over his future continue.
The Magpies drew 0-0 at Southampton on Saturday afternoon, and subsequently remain without a win this season, with Benitez’s side sitting 19th in the Premier League table, level on points with bottom club Huddersfield Town.
Newcastle are certainly in a relegation battle this season, and with manager Benitez out of contract at the end of the season, there is no guarantee that the Spaniard will be with the club throughout the whole of the season.
Some believe Benitez will move on in 2019, whether that’s when his deal ends or earlier in order to join another club, and reports suggest that he has been offered an escape route from St James’ Park.
The Mirror report that Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG have dangled a three-year deal in front of Benitez, which would double his money from £5million-a-year to £10million-a-year.
Portuguese boss Vitor Pereira is currently in charge of Shanghai SIPG, but Benitez has seemingly been eyed up as his successor, with a new offer coming from China two years since Benitez rejected a similar move in order to stay at Newcastle.

Things may be a little different now though, with Benitez may be somewhat attracted by a move to the Far East after some struggles at St James’ Park, but Mike Ashley could stand in the way.
It’s claimed that Ashley may demand considerable compensation for Benitez even with his contract winding down, but with the money available in China, Shanghai SIPG may not be entirely put off a deal for the Spaniard if he indicates he would be interest in a move.
