According to BBC Sport, Everton have agreed a deal worth £25million plus add-ons for Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey.
It’s claimed that Everton immediately increased their bid having failed with an offer worth £20million plus £6million in add-ons.
Their new offer of £25million plus future add-ons has now been accepted, and Godfrey will allegedly undergo a medical later today.
Personal terms aren’t expected to be a problem, especially after the Liverpool Echo reported that Godfrey wanted the move to Goodison Park.
Godfrey, 22, showed real promise in the Premier League last season, and now provides a talented young defender for Carlo Ancelotti to develop.

With Jarrad Branthwaite and Mason Holgate also on board, but currently injured, Everton have three young English centre backs who can become stars.
Godfrey also has the versatility to play in holding midfield, which should also appeal to Everton, as should his experience playing out from the back at Norwich.
