Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers paid only £1 million for Alfredo Morelos last summer.

It looks like Alfredo Morelos might be staying at Rangers until at least the summer.
The Colombian was heavily linked with a move to China in the January transfer window, with Beijing Renhe reportedly seeing five bids rejected – the latest being for around £11 million, according to The Scottish Sun.
But it would appear as if the Chinese outfit have turned their attentions elsewhere, if rumours are to be believed.

The Scottish Sun have reported that the Beijing-based club have gone off the idea of signing the Rangers star and have now offered £12 million for Nantes striker Emiliano Sala instead.
Sala has 11 Ligue 1 goals for the French side this season and it seems as if Rangers can rest easy, if that report is accurate.

Keeping Morelos in the long term could prove tricky, after the 21-year-old hitman, a £1 million summer signing under Pedro Caixinha, claimed this week that he has aspirations of playing in the Premier League.
But so long as Beijing Renhe are focused on other targets, Morelos will stay at Ibrox in the short term.
