Bayern Munich are reportedly lining up a summer bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
According to Spanish media outlet Marca, German giants Bayern Munich are lining up a summer swoop for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, after being told that Robert Lewandowski wants to join Real Madrid.
Kane, 24, is widely considered to be one of the best front-men on the continent, and he finished 2017 as Europe’s top goalscorer, beating the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewandowski himself in the process.
The England international is still under contract with Spurs until the summer of 2022, however, so his club hold all of the cards, and they will surely be desperate to keep hold of him, regardless of the amount of money that they will potentially be offered for his services.
Earlier this year, the Sun reported that Madrid were lining up a £200 million summer swoop for Kane, but it seems as though they have now switched their attention to the Poland international.
Marca claim that the Bavarian giants see Kane as the ideal long-term successor to Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena.
Spurs must stick to their guns though, if they truly want to progress and evolve as a football club, by keeping hold of their star man.
Selling Kane would send out a message of weakness to the rest of the continent, and could very well leave them open to other clubs making moves for the likes of Christin Eriksen and Dele Alli.
