According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich may not sign Lucas Vazquez due to his wage demands of around £90,000-a-week.
Vazquez is out of contract at Real Madrid this summer, and looks likely to leave the Spanish giants on a free transfer.
It’s claimed that Vazquez is expecting a salary of around €5.5million, which comes to around £90,000-a-week – a price Bayern aren’t sure about paying.
That may give Premier League clubs hope of signing Vazquez, with Bayern now seemingly backing away from the Spaniard.
The Mirror recently reported that Arsenal have been offered Vazquez, but he fancies a move to join Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.
Defensa Central report that Leeds want Vazquez, whilst Mundo Deportivo suggest that Everton have put an offer on the table in an effort to reunite him with Carlo Ancelotti.
That suggests there is plenty of interest in England, but whether any of them are prepared to meet his demands is another matter entirely.
His free agent status is appealing, but committing almost £100,000-a-week to a 29-year-old seems like a risk for any side in the current climate.
