Bordeaux’s Malcom looks to be on the move this summer.

According to The Mirror, German giants Bayern Munich now expect to win the race to sign Bordeaux starlet Malcom this summer amid strong links to Tottenham Hotspur.
Malcom, 20, joined Bordeaux from Corinthians in his native Brazil back in 2016, and has really made a name for himself in French football this season having hit eight Ligue 1 goals.
With six assists to his name too, Malcom has been the star of the show for Bordeaux, with a widespread belief that he will be leaving the club this summer – especially after he told UOL Esporte that he has an agreement with Bordeaux to pick his next club at the end of the season.

It’s now claimed that Bayern Munich have moved to the front of the queue to sign Malcom this summer, after Bordeaux refused to sell the wide man in January in case they get mired in a relegation battle.
Tottenham to miss out?
Bayern’s interest shouldn’t be a surprise; Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are both 34 now, whilst Douglas Costa – a player Malcom has been compared to – is out on loan at Juventus and not expected to return, meaning Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are the only two out-and-out wingers in the squad with an eye on the future.

The Bundesliga giants are now expected to make their move for Malcom and believe they can win the race, despite Tottenham seemingly retaining an interest in one of their January targets.
UOL Esporte reported that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino held talks with Malcom’s entourage about a move to Spurs, which could have been a big-money move in January and loan back to Bordeaux, but no deal materialised and Tottenham signed fellow Brazilian winger Lucas Moura from Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain instead.
Despite that deal, The Mirror claim that Spurs are lining up a new bid to sign Malcom this summer, but may find that Bayern are now favourites to land his signature.
