Tottenham Hotspur are linked with re-signing Gareth Bale.

The momentum over Gareth Bale’s fairytale return to Tottenham Hotspur is slowing down a tad.
And if reports are true, it’s getting even more complicated.
The Sun reported last month that Tottenham were indeed interested in re-signing the Wales international from Real Madrid this summer.
But the same publication claims that now Bayern Munich are keen on bringing the 30-year-old to Germany on loan.
Given Bayern’s clout and financial muscle, it’s a big hindrance in Spurs’ reported pursuit, but The Sun also claims that North Londoners’ chairman Daniel Levy can’t afford to get him – even on loan, with the report stating that he’s ‘too rich’ for either the Lilywhites or Manchester United.
According to The Guardian, Bale earns around £350,000 per week after tax in the Spanish capital.
It would appear as if Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy may have identified alternatives targets, anyway.
Now all the focus seems to centre around Real Betis’s Giovani Lo Celso who, according to Sky Sports, is valued at around £70 million, though the Lilywhites remain confident of signing him.
Re-signing Bale – who quit the club for a then-world record fee of £86 million in 2013 – would’ve been nice, but it looks more and more like a pipe dream now.
