Sky Germany claim that Bayern Munich are ‘dealing’ with Leeds United star Raphinha. However, the report states there is ‘no talk’ of a move in the January window – and a move will only be pursued on one condition.

Raphinha, 25, has been sensational for Leeds this season – scoring eight goals in 17 games for the Whites. Indeed, the ex-Rennes winger has become a regular for his country too, scoring two goals in five caps.

Reports over Christmas emerged from Raphinha’s home country of Brazil, that Bayern were about to complete a £50million move to sign the winger. It was met with a pinch of salt from both sets of fans.

Sky Germany deliver an update. They say that Bayern are certainly interested in Raphinha, but a January move is unlikely. They also state that Bayern will pursue a deal, if Kingsley Coman does not sign a new deal.

Raphinha to Bayern: Leeds star best to stay, as he continues to shine

Leaving Leeds in the middle of the season would be a poor decision. He is is playing regularly for the Whites, their main man, scoring goals and loved by the support. At Bayern, he might not even start for the German side.

Leeds are renowned to be looking to copy Leicester City’s model and that does mean big sales now and then. Raphinha will have to leave Elland Road at some point, the summer being much more likely.

If Leeds receive an offer north of £50million for Raphinha in the summer, you might expect the Whites to accept a deal. But right now? Leeds would hardly accept an offer in the midst of a relegation scrap.
