According to Le10sport, Bayern Munich are considering a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele after a disappointing debut campaign.

The French midfielder only joined Spurs for a club record fee last summer.

Ndombele, however, has struggled to make an impact in North London and he has only featured sparingly for Jose Mourinho’s side since the Premier League restart.

Le10sport claim Bayern have monitored his progress and are considering a move.

The Bundesliga champions have opened the door for a potential Thiago Alcantara exit this summer, and they may be looking at possible replacements in England.

Spurs are said to want to recoup the fee paid for Ndombele in case of a transfer. But Bayern are more interested in a loan, similar to the deals which took James Rodriguez and Phillipe Coutinho to Bavaria.

Bayern refused to sign either player permanently, with Coutinho due to return to Barcelona.

Tottenham’s situation is complicated. They spent a big fee to sign Ndombele, and now the global health crisis has seemingly impacted the club’s ability to spend heavily this summer.

And that is not to mention a likely lack of Champions League football next season.

But Jose Mourinho’s side need to strengthen in key areas. A new fullback, central defender, creative midfielder and striker alternative must be addressed.

Mourinho has a rebuild job on his hands, whether he admits that or not.
