It is being reported in Italy that the fight for Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado’s signature is now between Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Fiorentina’s Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado looks likely to command a host of offers in the summer, but Manchester United and Arsenal may be priced out of the auction.
Cuadrado has dazzled in Serie A, catching the attention of scouts across Europe and his future is a constant source of speculation in the Italian press.
It had been suggested that Manchester United would pounce in the summer, then Arsenal appeared to be favourites to sign him but recently Zenit Saint Petersburg and Real Madrid were said to be lining up bids.
The paper believes that Pep Guardiola is looking to rebuild Bayern starting with Cuadrado after their European humbling but Barcelona are already plotting their assault.
It is suggested that Cuadrado won’t come cheap and both teams are ready to offer at least £25m, which could rule out Manchester United or Arsenal.
Before Cuadrado can go anywhere his ownership has to be resolved as he is currently shared by Fiorentina and Udinese.
Fiorentina were expected to buy Udinese’s 50 percent share for around £8m, but there are reports that the two clubs can’t come to an agreement.
