The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder is said to be wanted by a clutch of clubs, including Barnsley, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town.
Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Rohan Ince
Barnsley, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town are ‘battling it out’ to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Rohan Ince, according to The Daily Mirror [16 May, page 49].
Ince impressed on loan to Swindon Town in the second half of the campaign, despite the Robins’ relegation from League One.
Nevertheless, the six-foot-three-inch powerhouse will struggle to break into Brighton’s Premier League side next season and looks likely to move on with a year left on his contract at the Amex Stadium.
Ince will have no shortage of suitors, it seems, with Barnsley, Wolves and Ipswich described as being ‘among the clubs’ keen.
Former Fulham loanee Rohan Ince
Barnsley are losing Josh Scowen on a free transfer this summer, while Ipswich loanee Toumani Diagouraga has returned to Leeds United.
And the pair could have the upper hand on Wolves, who are facing managerial uncertainty.
According to the BBC, Ince is the third cousin of former Wolves midfielder Paul Ince and nephew of another ex-Molineux man, Eric Young.
Would Brighton’s Ince be a good signing for Barnsley/Wolverhampton Wanderers/Ipswich Town?
