FC Barcelona have a plan to move for reported Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic if Catalans fail to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

According to Sport, the Serbian international is one of a handful of players who Barcelona could make a move for if they are unable to lure Haaland to the Nou Camp. As per the report, the 21-year-old is the La Liga giants number one striker target this summer.

Haaland will be one of the most sought-after players this year, alongside Vlahovic. However, the Sun report that the total package to sign the Dortmund star could cost around £215m, with agent Mino Raiola set for a record agent fee should a deal be brokered.

Indeed, such figures could put Barcelona off a move for Haaland given their dire financial situation, meaning that the Catalan side could attempt to sign Vlahovic, who is heavily wanted by Arsenal this January.

According to reports, the Gunners are pushing to sign the 21-year-old this month, with Mikel Arteta eager to sign a striker for the remainder of the season as well as the foreseeable future.

With the likes of Tottenham and Juventus already in for Vlahovic, Barcelona going in for the striker would further complicate matters for Arsenal, who are already struggling to sign the ACF Fiorentina star.

Arsenal already face an impressive array of competition for Vlahovic this month. However, the Gunners could struggle to compete for the striker’s signature if Barcelona officially enter the race for the youngster.

Despite the Catalan side’s problems, Barcelona remain one of the biggest clubs in sport, and Vlahovic could be tempted to swap Florence for the Spanish east coast should they come in for the attacker in the summer.
